Pregnant at Walt Disney World: Do's and Don'ts

Dan and I have been traveling to Disney World every year since we began dating. We got engaged and married in Walt Disney World. We have been on romantic trips, trips with friends and many trips with family. We have sailed the world (literally, see our DCL Alaska & Mediterranean Trip Reports) with Disney. As soon as our booking window opened up with our DVC points we booked a Disney trip over a year ago for May 2014. In February, we were blessed with the news that we were welcoming a little Mouseketeer to the family.

All of our flights had been paid for and I was happy with the hotels we had booked (Bay Lake Tower and Beach Club Villas) so we decided to turn our annual trip into a Babymoon. I didn't have to do much arranging except for meal locations and times. We decided that this would be a relaxing trip and we would eat at nice restaurants, take advantage of the Beach Club pool and not go park commando. It was an amazing trips and I learned a lot about traveling to WDW when pregnant that I thought I would share.

Welcoming a Mouseketeer!

We are so thrilled to be welcoming a new Mouseketeer to our family! How did we celebrate? With a Walt Disney World Babymoon of course. I will be doing a trip reports with some of the tips I learned traveling to WDW while pregnant. In the meantime I want to share some sneak peeks of the picture taken by Disney Fine Art Photography and some fun shots for revealing your baby bump around the "world".

Disney Fairytale Wedding Trip Report: The Happiest Day of My Life

After the ceremony and recessional Dan and I were escorted to a little garden on the side of the Pavilion with an arch that perfectly frames the Castle. We were given a few moments to talk and Rev. Jack came over to talk to us for a few minutes to say goodbye.

We are married!

Is this a dream?

Disney Fairytale Wedding Trip Report: Here Comes the Bride

After the bridal pictures we all congregated in the lobby of the Boardwalk. So many strangers were coming up to me and congratulating me. Luckily the Boardwalk is a quiet hotel so I never felt crowded or imposed upon. At this point things went in a fog for some reason and I can only remember certain things. I don’t remember my bridesmaids leaving in the limo or the Rolls Royce arriving for the first time. I must have thought “oh it is so beautiful” but I don’t remember….I think this is when, for the first time during this whole process nerves kicked in.

I know it was just my mom and I and we got into the car. Eventually I remember talking to the driver and he was so nice and thanking God they put AC in the car because it was so darn hot out. I remember we hit traffic…yes traffic. The wedding was supposedly held up a bit because of that but I wasn’t even freaking- it was a moment just to think!

Meanwhile at the Wedding Pavilion..

I guess they had this closed off until the processional? No clue but it looks nice!

Disney Fairytale Wedding Trip Report: Getting Ready

When the phone rang  for the alarm early in the morning, once again I was in a daze. I must have fallen back asleep for a few minutes because Dan came over to me and gave me the sweetest kiss. I opened my eyes and looked at him. For a moment we just looked at each other. I asked "is today really our wedding day?” He replied “yes it is, I love you with all my heart”. Then he walked downstairs and headed out the door to my mom’s villa where the guys where getting ready. I quickly sprung out of bed and ran downstairs to look outside. It was beautiful out.  I knew the clouds could creep in any point but I was not going to let that ruin my moment. My bridesmaids were all arriving around 10:30 a.m. but I had purposely woken up early to give myself some alone time. I didn’t want to have to rush. I wanted to take in every moment of this day and not let it fade away like some beautiful dream.
