Disney Fairytale Wedding Trip Report: The Happiest Day of My Life

After the ceremony and recessional Dan and I were escorted to a little garden on the side of the Pavilion with an arch that perfectly frames the Castle. We were given a few moments to talk and Rev. Jack came over to talk to us for a few minutes to say goodbye.

We are married!

Is this a dream?

Disney Fairytale Wedding Trip Report: Here Comes the Bride

After the bridal pictures we all congregated in the lobby of the Boardwalk. So many strangers were coming up to me and congratulating me. Luckily the Boardwalk is a quiet hotel so I never felt crowded or imposed upon. At this point things went in a fog for some reason and I can only remember certain things. I don’t remember my bridesmaids leaving in the limo or the Rolls Royce arriving for the first time. I must have thought “oh it is so beautiful” but I don’t remember….I think this is when, for the first time during this whole process nerves kicked in.

I know it was just my mom and I and we got into the car. Eventually I remember talking to the driver and he was so nice and thanking God they put AC in the car because it was so darn hot out. I remember we hit traffic…yes traffic. The wedding was supposedly held up a bit because of that but I wasn’t even freaking- it was a moment just to think!

Meanwhile at the Wedding Pavilion..

I guess they had this closed off until the processional? No clue but it looks nice!

Disney Fairytale Wedding Trip Report: Getting Ready

When the phone rang  for the alarm early in the morning, once again I was in a daze. I must have fallen back asleep for a few minutes because Dan came over to me and gave me the sweetest kiss. I opened my eyes and looked at him. For a moment we just looked at each other. I asked "is today really our wedding day?” He replied “yes it is, I love you with all my heart”. Then he walked downstairs and headed out the door to my mom’s villa where the guys where getting ready. I quickly sprung out of bed and ran downstairs to look outside. It was beautiful out.  I knew the clouds could creep in any point but I was not going to let that ruin my moment. My bridesmaids were all arriving around 10:30 a.m. but I had purposely woken up early to give myself some alone time. I didn’t want to have to rush. I wanted to take in every moment of this day and not let it fade away like some beautiful dream.

Disney Fairytale Wedding Trip Report: EPCOT Illuminations Welcome Party

After O’Hana we had a bout an hour to kill before the buses I had arranged would show up to take us to EPCOT for the welcome party. I was worried at first but it worked out well because everyone was so stuffed and people wanted to check out the Polynesian and take pictures. Finally the buses arrived and we all headed over to backstage at UK Pavilion. For some reason I was so nervous. Actually I was more nervous on the day of the rehearsal then I was on the wedding day. I think it was just all of the energy and moving from place to place, rather the the actually wedding the next day. As we got off the bunch a whole bunch of Pooh characters were leaving the pavilion. Of course my brother in law had to run after them but they were all very nice about it.

Disney Fairytale Wedding Trip Report: Cast Rehearsal & O'Hana

When the phone rang Thursday morning I had one of those “where am I, when is it, did I miss my wedding" type of mornings thanks to a little bit of liquor the night before. I was a little dazed but I gathered it was Dan's best friend Matt on the other end and they were coordinating their trip to Periwigs for a clean up. I rolled out of bed call my mom and we arrange to meet to head over to Periwigs for our manicure and blowouts as I did not want to fuss with my hair for my EPCOT Dessert Party. It was June in Florida and that only means one thing: frizzy hair. We had our wonderful photography Randy Chapman booked to snap our Illuminations Dessert Party as well so I did not want to look like a poodle in all of my pictures.

My mom and I walked over to Periwigs at the Yacht Club from the Boardwalk and it was such a nice walk. It was relaxing and we had another chance to have some mom and daughter alone time.
